PBISPositive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) is a proactive approach to establishing the behavioral supports and social culture and needed for all students in a school to achieve social, emotional and academic success.
At Jefferson Elementary School, we believe in instilling the values of respect, responsibility, and safety. Students who exemplify these values through positive behavior can receive "Paw Prints" from adults in the building. As students acquire more paw prints, they can be turned in for rewards. Some rewards include sitting at the teachers desk, writing in pen, or bringing in a stuffed animal for the day. We believe in encouraging positive behavior through positive reinforcement. |
